ETHICS & CULTURE

New-British Atelier

Atlantic House is an emerging independent clothing atelier established in Great Britain. We are an ethical label working for a beautiful and compassionate future for luxury fashion and embracing a new chapter of British culture.

Origins and Vision

Atlantic House was founded to reflect a simple vision: to create a new label of ethical substance and British couture. From its conception, our atelier aspired to create a culture which enriched equally those who create and those who purchase. Founded in 2017, Atlantic House pursues a bold ambition to rediscover British luxury and to challenge a status quo of exploitation and disposable fashion.

The image and presence of the House may be nuanced, but our couture always reflects an homage to traditional British apparel, and we strive to create contemporary, natural and refined clothing which acknowledges the future of Britain as much as its past.

Philanthropy and Social Responsibility

Through all of our First Editions garments, Atlantic House is proud to partner with TEARFUND in its pursuit of ending poverty. 10% of all profits from the First Editions will be donated to Tearfund's work. For more information about Tearfund's work we advise exploring their website: https://www.tearfund.org.

Ethical Policy

Ethical production is essential to the House culture. We are passionately committed to creating clothing in humane and fair conditions, and seek to ensure that our materials are sourced in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Manufacturing in Britain is a natural expression of this desire, as it allows us to work closely with our partnering manufacturers to ensure high standards of welfare, as well as helping us to reduce the carbon footprint of the manufacturing process.

Our manufacturers are affiliated with the Fairwear Foundation (Corporate Social Responsibility) and conform to high standard certifications (GOTS, OE 100, OE Blended, OEKO TEX, REACH).
